Marina Soria

Marina Soria is a calligraphic artist. Lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Formed in the United States and Europe with the best artists of the discipline. 

Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts of Buenos Aires, she taught courses in graphic and editorial design at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of Buenos Aires, FADU between 1987 and 1993, in 1998 she was Assistant Typography in the same house of studies . 

 He has received national and international awards. He has exhibited his works in Argentina, Uruguay, USA, Spain, Japan, Germany, Russia and Norway. His works are part of the calligraphy collections of the International Museum of Contemporary Calligraphy in Moscow, the National Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, the Arezzo Public Library and the San Francisco Public Library in California; the Klinspor Museum and the Hoefer Archive in Offenbach, the Latin American Collection at Yale University, the Letterform Archives in SF, as well as various universities and art colleges in the United States.

 His main interest is in the experimental and artistic aspect of calligraphy. He seeks to combine various disciplines: graphic art, textiles, bookbinding, sumi-e and calligraphy to challenge the limits of conceptual art and technique.

 She currently works as a calligraphic artist in her studio in Buenos Aires and teaches experimental calligraphy courses in Europe, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States. Since the pandemic, he has been teaching online courses.
