Academic background.
Graduated in "Arts-Plastic and Visual Arts", 2006, UDELAR. Candidate for a Master's in Anthropology of the Río de la Plata Cuenca, 2012, FHUCE, UDELAR. (Approved Seminars and Courses- Research completed- Thesis in progress 2022).
Teaching activity
He was a teacher and taught courses and seminars in Uruguay at the UDE, at the CLAEH at the Instituto Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and abroad, he currently teaches as Professor of Drawing and Project Communication at the EMAD (Multidisciplinary School of Art Dramatic), I.M. Adjunct Professor Gº3 of Free Pedagogical Aesthetic Orientation Workshop, CURE-Rocha, IENBA, UDELAR.
He has participated in numerous collective exhibitions from 1997 to date in different centers, museums, halls and galleries in Uruguay and internationally in: Argentina, Germany, Belgium, USA, Macedonia, Mexico, Poland, among others. He received numerous distinctions, including the 2nd Prize at the 49th Visual Arts Hall, MEC (2001), and the 1st Prize at the 50th National Visual Arts Hall, MEC (2002).
Artist-Professor invited by: the Latin American Center, UCLA, USA (2005) and the SACO4 project, Antofagasta, Chile (2015). In 2008 he obtained the DAAD Scholarship, taught classes at the J.W. Goethe Universität in Frankfurt am Main, AL and at the Stuttgart Academy of Arts. University of the Arts of Havana, Cuba (2020).
Actividad artística
His work was part of the Uruguayan submission to the II Mediations Biennale, Poznan, Poland (2010). Curator of the EMAD submission to the Student Section PQ11, Prague Quadrennial (2011) and co-curator of the exhibition “Getting the Puppets Rolling”, Museum of Decorative Arts, MVD. Invited Artist to participate in the Biennial Manifesta 9, Belgium and the Museé de la Ville, Macedonia (2012), “The history of graphics in Uruguay”, Mérida, México (2015) and VALOARTE, Costa Rica (2014) and Rotary , Chile (2018).
