Dolores Cáceres was born in 1960, in Córdoba, Argentina and, thanks to her work, she became a benchmark for visual art in our province, the country and South America. His work is traversed by a multiplicity of languages: installations, performances, public interventions, photographs, videos. His search delves into the collective memory, the manifestations of historical moments, the faith and the setbacks of the region.
He entered the UNC Faculty of Art, where he did not find the space to make his dialogue with art flow. His first steps in “institutionalized” art were taken from another perspective: from management and curatorship.
In 1986 she began working as a cultural manager at the Jaime Conci Gallery, where she proposed to work on the first video installation projects in the city.
In 1998 she began her work as a curator at the España Córdoba Cultural Center. Then, in 1999 and for a period of two years, she works as coordinator of the Commission for the Revitalization of the Historic Center of the City of Córdoba.
She was the curator of ARTEBA's departure from Cordoba to emerging art, of the Julio Le Parc exhibition, of the Korda retrospective and of the Jorge Bonino anthological exhibition.
In 2005 he was a juror at the MAMBA Fundación Telefónica Award.
