He works independently in cultural management and contemporary art curation. He is a teacher in the Faculty of Visual Arts of that city. He belonged to the Mamemimomu collective and is currently part of the Magallanica multidisciplinary group, selected by the Plataforma Futuro program of the National Ministry of Culture. He coordinates the Visual Arts Program in Patagonia #enobra and is part of the CUERO network.
He individually exhibits his work both nationally and internationally. She participated in the Rosario National Salon 2014 and 2018 and was selected for the CFI Painting Biennial in 2015. Her work was included in Opera Prima at CNB -Casa Nacional del Bicentenario- in Buenos Aires, and in the FNA Visual Arts contest -Fondo Nacional de las Artes-, 2019. His work belongs to the collections of Macro + Castagnino (Santa Fe) and the MAEM -Museo de Arte Emilio Minnicelli (Río Gallegos).
Among his most recent projects, the participation in the Project Room Residency of Arte Actual Flacso (2020) Ecuador stands out; He was part of the "Imagined Country" cycle of the MAMBA - Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (2020) and participated in the Insolation Show at the Festival of Expanded Aesthetics, Colombia (2020). In 2021 he exhibited at MUSEUM1 in South Korea (Solo Exhibition), participated in the Listen to Art x Art Photography residency and in 2022 published his book Collection of signs 2018-2021 and held his exhibition: The distance between us, 2022 at the Current Art FLACSO (Ecuador).
In her work, Patricia Viel,involves various techniques and formats, the territory as a specific place of enunciation and the ways of living are central, not as conclusive instances, but as opportunities for significant and significant experiences, in which the ephemeral takes a prominent place. as a binding concept-metaphor. Starting from painting as a language, Viel gradually expands his expressive modalities, developing installations, interventions and actions and incorporating photography into his most recent productions, which transcends the documentary function linked to the recording of events, to become a dimension with its own thickness.
