Photographer, teacher and radio columnist.
He was chief and photography editor of the Galería de Búsqueda magazine from 2000 to January 2019. He worked as a photographer in Revista Tres (1997-2000), in the newspaper La República (1994-1997) and in the newspaper “La Juventud” ( 1994). Radio columnist.
From 1997 to date, he has photographed the rock band Vultures
From 2010 to 2017, he photographed Julio Bocca's period at the helm of the Ballet Nacional del Sodre
In 2019 and 2020, he was in charge of the photography of the shows and general registration of the Antel Arena.
Since 2019 he has had a column on historical and iconic photographs on the radio program “No Toquen Nada” on Del Sol FM.
He has taught photography in the Communication and Industrial Design degrees at the ORT University of Uruguay since 2000.
Exhibitions
He has had several exhibitions in Uruguay and abroad. Among them are “Paris”, in the atrium of the Municipality of Montevideo (1999), “Photographs” at the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation, in Punta del Este (2010), “Uruguayos” (2011) and “Fútbol” (2015). in the A Cielo Abierto photo gallery of Parque Rodó, of the Montevideo Photography Center.
Outside his country, Barizzoni exhibited "Imágenes Caminantes" at the Uruguayan consulate in New York (2010) and "Uruguayos" at the Uruguayan Embassy in Washington (2010) and at the King Juan Carlos Center in New York (2011).
He presented the exhibition "Snaps" in 2012 at the Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires and in 2013 at the Spanish Center in New York.
In 2016 and 2017 he exhibited "Behind the curtain", a work on the "Julio Bocca era" at the head of the National Ballet in Buenos Aires, at the Borges Cultural Center and also at Innova Espacio de Arte in Manantiales
Barizzoni has also integrated collective photographic exhibitions in Uruguay, the United States and Belgium.
In 2012 he participated in the collective exhibition "Photography and identity: a look at Latin America and the Caribbean" in South Korea and in May 2013 and 2014 his photos were part of the Gyeonggi Ansan International Art Fair also in South Korea.
His works are part of the permanent collections of the Atchugarry Foundation and the Engelman Ost Foundation.
